Guided tour of the "Marie Louise Stolln" mine

At a glance

  • Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübel
  • Guided Visits, Winter holidays
The tour, which is also called walking through a tunnel in miners' language, is only possible with trained mine guides. They will explain and show you the world underground in a 90-minute guided tour. After about 400m in the Marie Louise Stolln, you will reach the former ore deposit, the large cavity of the "Mother of God deposit" with the underground lake. In the gallery itself, paved, almost level ground awaits you, sometimes it is a little narrow and low, but with electric lighting and equipped with a safety helmet, it is fun to experience the working world of an old mine up close. The Marie Louise Stolln allows you to visit an authentic mining facility and provides evidence of centuries-old mining and conveys many impressions of the working world with iron and mallets. The guided tour is in German!
