Day 1 Arrival in Markneukirchen
Visit the unique Musicon Valley, which is also affectionately known as Musikwinkel, as it is home to over 100 active musical instrument manufacturers of all types. The tour focuses on a guided tour of selected workshops and production facilities. After you have talked shop with the master craftsman and followed the creation of high-quality musical instruments, we recommend that you take a short journey through the history of musical instrument making in the Musical Instrument Museum.
Day 2 On the Vogtland Panorama Trail to Klingenthal
Distance: 26.8 km Duration: 07:40 h Elevation gain: 613 m uphill, 564 m downhill
The starting point is the municipality of Erlbach. A steadily ascending natural path leads up to a hill. Via a paved forest road, past the small and large Hüttenbach ponds, you turn right at the Holzhauerhütte onto a natural path and reach Zwota. An asphalted path leads steeply uphill, past a garden and along a forest road to Kottenheide. The stage destination Klingenthal is reached via the Vogtland Arena.
Day 3 On the hiking trail of German unity to Weitersglashütte
Distance: 18.8 km Duration: 05:25 h Elevation gain: 564 m uphill, 229 m downhill
The first section of today's route leads to the Aschberg. It is a 936m high mountain in the Saxon-Czech border region near Klingenthal in Vogtland, the summit of which lies in the Czech Republic. The border is at an altitude of 917m. Continue along the hiking trail along the Großer Kranichsee lake to Weitersglashütte.
Day 4 On the ridge path to Mühlleiten
Distance: 14.0 km Duration: 03:55 h Elevation gain: 322 m uphill, 355 m downhill
From today you hike along the Kammweg to your destination in Adorf. Today's stage is the official 12th stage of this beautiful hiking trail. At the edge of the forest, you cross high spruce forest on near-natural paths past the 974 m high Schneehübel into the Drei Bächle nature reserve. After walking through the district of Morgenröthe, you reach the winter sports resort of Mühlleiten.
Day 5 On the ridge trail to Schöneck
Distance: 14.8 km Duration: 03:55 h Elevation gain: 181 m uphill, 262 m downhill
Today you continue on the ridge trail along the former Winselberg nature conservation center. On the 13th stage of this hiking trail, you get a beautiful view of the 856 m high topaz rock Schneckenstein. After ups and downs, you reach the Muldenberg dam, followed by the Schöneck sawmill and the Mulden spring to today's destination of Schöneck.
Day 6 On the ridge path to Adorf/ Markneukirchen
Distance: 18.6 km Duration: 04:55 h Elevation gain: 203 m uphill, 462 m downhill
The last stage of the hike begins with a leisurely forest path and a remarkable view of the Vogtland hilltop landscape. The route is mainly downhill, passing the agricultural villages of Gunzen, Wohlbach and Hermsgrün. This stage then takes you to Adorf, where you leave the ridge trail and walk along the Schwarzbach stream back towards Markneukirchen.
