Day 1: Dresden
Individual arrival in Dresden. Stroll through the historic old town past the Frauenkirche, Zwinger, Semperoper and Residenzschloss or take a detour to the lively new town. Enjoy Saxon specialties in one of the many restaurants and relax in one of the lovely cafés. In the evening, you will be spoiled for choice when trying to decide between a bar or a club. Dresden offers plenty of opportunities to go out and have fun. Its trendy Neustadt district in particular is famous and very popular. Everyone will find something to suit their taste here! Stay overnight in Dresden in a 3- or 4-star hotel.
Day 2: Dresden - discover the "Florence on the Elbe"
After a good breakfast, explore the baroque city with its diverse cultural institutions. Get to know Dresden on a city tour by bus or steamboat. Visit the museums in the Royal Palace: be fascinated by the splendor of the treasures in the Historical and New Green Vault and visit the Armory, one of the most valuable collections of ceremonial weapons and costumes in the world. There is also plenty of culture to discover in the Zwinger: be impressed by the collections in the Old Masters Picture Gallery, just like the young Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once was, and take in early Meissen porcelain and East Asian porcelain from the 17th and early 18th centuries in the porcelain collection, the highest quality and most extensive special ceramic collection in the world. Overnight stay in Dresden in a 3- or 4-star hotel.
Day 3: Dresden - Leipzig
Today you will travel to Leipzig, where you should visit the Völkerschlachtdenkmal. It was erected to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig. In this battle, the Allies defeated Napoleon. A pond was built in front of the monument as a symbol of the tears shed for the deceased heroes. Walk and store in the Mädlerpassage and eat and dance in the city center. The beautiful and modern city of Leipzig has everything to offer. The trendy Drallewatsch, Schauspielviertel, Münzgasse, Südmeile and Karl-Heine-Straße await you! Here you will find everything your heart desires, from adventure and gastronomic culture to entertainment. Overnight stay in Leipzig in a 3- or 4-star hotel.
Day 4 + 5: Berlin - explore the capital
After a hearty breakfast, you will travel to Berlin today. There you will get to know the most important sights on a 2-hour city tour and can visit the government district with the Reichstag, where the German Bundestag is based, and the Federal Chancellery. You can also enjoy the wonderful view over the city from the television tower or watch the hustle and bustle of city life on Alexanderplatz. Go shopping on Kurfürstendamm and then visit the Memorial Church. Or pay a visit to the many museums on Museum Island. In the Altes Museum, you can admire sculptures, weapons, gold jewelry and silver treasures from Greek art and cultural history. You can marvel at the famous bust of the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti in the Neues Museum. 2 nights in Berlin in a 3- or 4-star hotel.
Day 6: Berlin
Drive to Dresden and individual departure (or extension).
