The Pittlerwerke are considered a monument of Saxon industrial culture. At its peak, around 7,000 people worked in the former machine tool factory in shifts. After the industrial complex stood largely empty since 1996, it developed into a place for sustainable collaboration and living, for cultural experiences, and space for a wide range of events.  Since March 2024, the Pittlerwerke will open their doors for Leipzig city events for the first time, inviting visitors to an exclusive Lost Place tour through the still vacant parts of the site. Here, deep insights behind the facades of the former machine tool factory and plenty of exciting information about the history and future of the sprawling industrial complex await.
