The Sorbian National Ensemble, founded in 1952, cares the Sorbian cultural traditions. The ensembles repertoire includes traditional dances passed down through the generations as well as contemporary dance, musicals and productions for children. Furthermore, orchestra and choir regularly interpret renowned classical works next to rare Sorbian compositions. The ensemble incorporates a living embodiment between kept up traditions and the modern world in a region were the Sorbs and a variety of other different cultures are sharing their daily lives together.
