New Lusatian Philharmonic Orchestra: small orchestra - great music entertainment!
Besides its extensive tasks as orchestra of the Görlitz Music Theatre, every season the New Lusatian Philharmonic Orchestra gives more than 40 symphonic concerts in Görlitz, Zittau, Bautzen, Hoyerswerda and Kamenz. The programme stretches from great composers like Mahler, Schostakowitsch and Schumann, Grieg and Beethoven to contemporary composers and genre-crossing crossover projects. Particular importance is given to the cultivation of church music.
