Train (distance connections):

Bad Schandau National Park Station is not only a stop for regional but also for international train traffic and is located directly on the long-distance line Hamburg – Berlin – Dresden – Bad Schandau – Děčín – Prague – Vienna – Budapest. Timetables and tickets at www. bahn. de.

S-BAHN S1 (local transport)

From Dresden you can reach the National Park Station Bad Schandau in about 45 minutes by S-Bahn line S1 (Dresden – Pirna – Bad Schandau – Schöna).

Ferry:

Below the National Park Station is the ferry dock. By ferry you can reach the city centre of Bad Schandau, which is located on the other side of the Elbe. Timetables and tickets at www. vvo-online. de.

From the ferry terminal Bad Schandau (below the market square) you can reach the NationalparkZentrum Sächsische Schweiz in less than 5 minutes on foot down the Elbe.

Bus:

Bad Schandau can also be reached by bus (stops Nationalparkbahnhof or Elbkai) from Pirna via Königstein and from Sebnitz.

From the Elbkai Bad Schandau you can reach the NationalparkZentrum Sächsische Schweiz in less than 1 minute walk.

Coming on the A17 motorway (Dresden-Prague), exit 6 Pirna, follow the sign “Pirna” to the right, after a few kilometres turn right again to Bad Schandau (B172).

Immediately after entering Bad Schandau, cross the Elbe and follow the road into the city. After a few meters you will see the sign “P NationalparkZentrum” on the right, which will take you to the public car park “Elbkai” in Bad Schandau.
