A wide variety of porcelain vessels, from tiny to superhumanly large, are presented on the Purple Path in Lößnitz.
The monumental porcelain sculptures from the One Million series, numbered 3501 and 3502, by Austrian artist Uli Aigner are a tribute to the industrial history of the region. In the 17th century, cobalt was mined in Lößnitz, which later enabled the production of Meissen porcelain. The works of art thus create a link between past and present. Uli Aigner was born in Austria in 1965 and now lives in Berlin. Find out more about the artwork here.
