The Schwarzenberg Christmas season starts every year on the first weekend of Advent with the traditional push starting of the pyramid.
The Schwarzenberg Christmas time begins every year on the first Advent weekend with the traditional push starting of the pyramid. On this weekend, the constantly increasing anticipation for Christmas is also provided by the so-called Schwarzenberg Weihnachtsdrahsch. It stands for the excitement and joy before Christmas and invites to a small and tranquil Christmas market in the Schwarzenberg suburb.
More than 100 merchants are looking forward to your visit in the festively decorated streets of the listed historic city centre and will put you in the right mood for this contemplative time on one of the oldest and most beautiful Christmas markets in Saxony. Let the mood entice you and enjoy the special experience - the medieval Christmas market in the castle courtyard, the Crandorfer Fatzer Spieldus, the Schwarzenberg miner's parade, the fairy tale parade, the Schwarzenberg Christmas mountain, the train exhibition in the former railway tunnel and much more!
