Winter Exhibition "Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel"

At a glance

Cinderella is back! From 22 November 2023, Moritzburg Castle will once again be transformed into the magical setting of the popular fairytale classic.

Cinderella returns to Moritzburg Castle. From 22 November 2023, the exhibition "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" will open its doors again at Moritzburg Castle. There is plenty to discover again this year. Original exhibits, costumes, fascinating props and even 5 additional exhibition rooms that focus on the life and acting career of the leading actress will attract visitors to Moritzburg Castle.

Original costumes, original props!
Fans of the film can once again expect lots of interesting facts about Cinderella and the film shoot, around 20 original costumes, many original documents, surprising original props and fan objects. Among the props is also the original riding saddle on which Cinderella rode to her prince in the film.

50 years of filming
The turn of 2022/2023 marked the fiftieth anniversary of the filming of the Winter's Tale, reason enough to look back once again. Find out in our exhibition why it was so difficult to find a Cinderella and why the summer fairy tale became a winter story.

"Libuše - more than just a princess."
An additional part of the exhibition - with a total of 5 additional exhibition rooms - is dedicated to the life and acting career of the actress Libuše Šafránková, who played Cinderella in the most popular fairytale film of all time.
In this special, we present original costumes from the actress's most popular film and TV productions and show Libuše Šafránková's most successful roles in more than 100 photos.

Take the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of Cinderella and the prince on an authentic film set. The exhibition experience, which not only makes children's eyes light up, can be visited until 25 February 2024.
