TITANIC: The blockbuster exhibition about the most famous passenger ship of all time is coming to Leipzig.
From November 28, 2025, the fascinating and moving story of the Titanic will be brought to life in a completely new symbiosis of living history and modern staging at agra Messepark Leipzig: The exhibition "Titanic: An Immersive Journey" sheds light on the largest passenger ship of its time, its dramatic sinking and the human destinies interwoven with it in a way never seen before. Visitors are immersed in a fascinating world where state-of-the-art technology meets history. The unique exhibition concept combines breathtaking 360-degree projections with detailed room recreations, presents over 300 carefully curated artifacts and allows visitors to experience the past up close thanks to virtual reality. This allows history to be experienced in a completely new way. Exhibition Hub, a pioneer in the field of immersive entertainment, presents the exhibition in cooperation with White Star Memories and renowned Titanic collectors.
With over half a million visitors in Cologne and Hamburg, "Titanic: An Immersive Journey" is one of the most successful exhibition formats of recent years - and is now also coming to Saxony!
Her story captivates the whole world: the RMS Titanic was the crowning glory of the age of transatlantic travel due to her size and luxurious furnishings. On April 10, 1912, she set sail on her maiden voyage to New York - with emigrants, aristocrats and millionaires on board. Just four days later, on the night of April 14/15, the ship, which was considered unsinkable, hit an iceberg and sank in the icy waters of the Atlantic within two hours and 40 minutes. Of the more than 2,200 people on board, only 705 survived. The catastrophe became deeply engraved in the collective memory and continues to fascinate the public to this day, well over 100 years after the dramatic disaster.
The exhibition "Titanic: An Immersive Voyage" is a unique adventure for visitors of all ages. Equipped with a boarding pass, visitors embark as passengers on a voyage of discovery into the ship and trace the days at sea - and the fateful last night - using real historical objects, faithful replicas, interactive worlds of experience and deceptively realistic multimedia installations.
With over 300 artifacts, the exhibition offers a comprehensive insight into the legendary history of the world's most famous ocean liner. The exhibits come from the Titanic and her sister ships Olympic and Britannic. Others belong to the Carpathia, which was the first ship to receive the distress call from the sinking Titanic and rush to the rescue.
The exhibition combines historical finds with state-of-the-art technology. Dramatic room reconstructions, advanced theater techniques and breathtaking audiovisual effects immerse visitors in the history of the Titanic. Interaction options, a detailed audio tour and special photo points round off the experience. Towards the end of the emotional journey through time, the 12-minute virtual reality (VR) experience takes visitors even deeper into the historic passenger ship, but also deep underwater to its icy grave. Using VR goggles, visitors embark on a dive to the wreck of the Titanic and thus on a visually impressive tour through selected rooms of the ship.
"Titanic: An Immersive Journey" goes beyond the mere narration of the well-known tragedy and also sheds light on the role of the sister ships, the rescue ship Carpathia and even the fateful route of the fatal iceberg. The exhibition creates an emotional connection to the people on board and tells their fates in a touching way.
This exhibition is accompanied by the German Titanic Association 1997 e.V. as official partner. Malte Fiebing-Petersen, chairman of the association, is supporting the exhibition as a scientific advisor. He is regarded as one of Germany's leading Titanic experts.
