The mountain fortress is transformed into a colorful excursion destination: blooming gardens and atmospheric flair - an experience for the whole family!
From the end of March to mid-April, countless tulips and crocuses, hyacinths, pansies, forget-me-nots and primroses as well as shrubs and woody plants such as winter jasmine, cornelian cherry and magnolia will bloom in the museum's outdoor areas. The "3rd Königstein Spring Awakening" is a project by the fortress gardeners that emphasizes the exceptionally green side of the historic fortress complex.
