Knitting festival LOOP!

At a glance

LOOP! the knitting festival in the textile hub at the Esche Museum in Limbach-Oberfrohna

It was the Esche family who started producing stockings in Limbach in the 17th century. Many generations later, Reinhold Esche built his factory in Sachsenstraße from 1853, which today houses the Esche Museum, Lab and Forum, where textile history is not only told, but made tangible. On the occasion of the LOOP! knitting festival, people with a love of knitting, a penchant for beautiful things made of wool and a heart for all things textile such as socks, scarves, sweaters, cushion covers or even wrappings for street signs will meet here for a whole weekend from August 22 to 24, 2025.

The ESCHE Museum opens its doors and celebrates the theme of stitch in a relaxed and invigorating atmosphere - creative, exciting, interactive, inspiring: let yourself drift, stimulate, try things out and get talking: Masche is the trump card.
