Lößnitz has had the right to brew since 1284, and the Lößnitz Brewery Association is currently reviving this history, promoting and cultivating the brewing tradition and bringing it to life.

Lößnitz has had brewing rights as a documented privilege since 1284. In 1338, Emperor Ludwig IV granted the right to brew beer to Burgrave Meinher IV, thus upgrading the Lößnitz brewery.
The Lößnitz Brewery Association is currently reviving history and aims to promote, cultivate and bring the brewing tradition to life. In particular, the tradition of the medieval "Reiheschankes" is to be revived. The association offers various beer experiences for groups by appointment or by arrangement:
- Brewery tours with beer tasting in the brewhouse .
- Beer brewing seminars Duration: approx. 6 hours Seminar and brewing beer yourself under supervision, brewery tour with beer tasting - a beer from the previous brew is tasted.
- Town tour on the brewing tradition in Lößnitz or as a hike during the spring and autumn hiking week (from fall 2018) of the Erzgebirge Tourism Association
- German-language lecture on the history of brewing in the town of Lößnitz (can also be booked in addition to other offers)
Our brewery is located in an impressive listed brick building. In addition to the art of brewing, you can also marvel at the handicrafts of the "Schnitz- und Bergverein Lößnitz e.V.", founded in 1879. You can also visit the permanent Christmas mountain exhibition and special exhibitions on special occasions.
