From the market square, the path leads past Blasius Church to the old Stollberg railway. At the junction to Niederzwönitz, you can enjoy the view of Zwönitz right up to the Geyerscher Wald forest. In front of the Johanniskirche church, the route runs up to the “Galgenspitze” meadow, offering views of Zwönitz and Thalheim. Passing the Hammerteich pond and waterfall, you will reach the ascent to the legendary headless horseman statue, with more fantastic views over the Zwickau region. The trail leads downhill to Künhaide along a charming stream and uphill to the “Zwönitzblick” lookout tower. We continue to the old Scheibenberg railway line, with a short detour to the amazing Fuchsbrunnbrücke bridge. With views towards Schneeberg, hike back to Künhaide, past the Pauckner Stolln mine tunnel and the Trinitatiskirche church.
