The Zschopau valley cycle path is the most famous cycle path in the Ore Mountains. It winds its way through the romantic Zschopau valley over a length of 137 km. On the way from Oberwiesenthal via Wolkenstein and the town of Zschopau to the vicinity of Döbeln, you can expect a wide variety of sights, great views and quaint inns. The Zschopau valley cycle path leads from the source of the Zschopau at Fichtelberg, the highest mountain in Saxony, along the "pearl of all Saxon rivers" to its confluence with the Freiberg Mulde. There it merges seamlessly into the Mulde cycle path.
