Wilsdruffer railway track loop

We start in Meißen's city center at the marketplace and ride through Marktgasse to the Rossmarkt, where we turn right onto Neugasse. After a few meters, this turns into Talstraße and leads us into and through the Triebisch valley, past the MEISSEN ® porcelain manufactory, through the Meißen-Buschbad and Garsebach districts, until we turn towards Wilsdruff in Semmelsberg.

At first, it continuously goes uphill until we reach the street "Zur Preiskermühle." There we turn right and immediately left towards Helmmühle. We follow the paths of the former small railway along the little Triebisch river and turn right onto Helmmühlenweg. It continues until Kobitzscher Weg along the small Triebisch. Before reaching Ullendorf, however, we turn right and proceed via Am Birkenwald and Grüner Weg to the main street intersection, where we turn right towards Taubenheim.

We follow the main street for a few minutes until we again turn left onto An der Silberstraße towards Klipphausen. At the Silberstraße intersection in the district of Sora, look right to discover the alpaca farm. The friendly animals come interestedly up to the fence! The ride continues over Klipphausen and Sachsdorf along Wilsdruffer Straße to Wilsdruff. In this small town, a break for ice cream right at the baker's near the market is worthwhile. Over Wielandstraße and Nossener Straße, it goes back out of town. We turn left and ride on the beautiful cycle path of the former railway track "Freital - Potschappel - Nossen" to Helbigsdorf. There we turn towards Blankenstein and roll over many fields to Tanneberg and Perne. However, some hills repeatedly offer challenging short climbs before you can roll into the long Triebisch valley towards Meißen and reach the starting point again in the city center.
