The longest stage of the Stoneman Miriquidi Road C-Edition is a constant up and down:
729 meters in altitude have to be covered on the climbs, with a little more going downhill again. First, the route takes you through the Pöbel valley up to the Seyde ridge. The waters of the Wild Weißeritz accompany you to the mountain town of Frauenstein, where you can discover the castle ruins. The castle is located on a 680-metre-high rock and was first mentioned in a document in 1218. You reach the Blockhausen checkpoint along the Lichtenberg dam. Here you can marvel at chainsaw wood art of a special kind: fighting knights, detailed animal sculptures and meter-high mythical creatures. Unique works of art are created on various themes and exhibited throughout the grounds. Blockhausen is a must for all fans of wood, chainsaw art and culture. The forest path leading there is carefully passable.
