The bike tour starts directly at the Karl May Museum in Radebeul, which is easily accessible from the Elbe Cycle Path. We cross the main road and ride directly to the wine trail and thus reach the first wineries in the Oberlößnitz. The wineries "Drei Herren", "Ulf Große", "Karl Friedrich Aust" as well as "Hoflößnitz" are located directly on the route.
We make a small detour to the "Golden Carriage" - here the famous Spitzhaus staircase leads through the vineyards. If you walk, you will be rewarded with a magnificent view. Above the roofs of Radebeul we marvel at the Bismarck Tower, designed by Wilhelm Kreis and inaugurated in 1907 by the Kötzschenbroda master builder Alfred Große.
The bike tour then continues above the city along the slopes. A visit to the famous "Staatsweingut Schloss Wackerbarth" must not be missed.
On the onward journey, we pass the "Matyas" winery in the next town of Coswig before continuing via Weinböhla and Niederau. Now it's time to make way for the northern Elbe towns before we head back towards the Elbe and finally arrive in Diesbar-Seußlitz at the beautiful castle. From here we cycle along the Elbe cycle path and pass through villages with wineries such as "Jan Ulrich", "Weingut Lehmann" and many more.
In Meißen we marvel at the castle hill and continue on the Elbe cycle path. In Sörnewitz, directly after the striking Boselspitze, there are other wineries, such as the "Weingut Schuh", which is now run by the younger generation of the winegrowing family. A stop here is also worthwhile. Afterwards, the tour continues on the Elbe Cycle Path in the direction of Radebeul and thus to the starting point of the wine tour by bike.
