Leave the fast pace of everyday life behind and recharge your batteries - this is what the Saxon Way of St. James offers. All routes in Europe bearing the name "Way of St. James" lead to Santiago de Compostela in the north of Spain to the tomb of St. James the Elder. The Saxon Way of St. James leads along the medieval Franconian Road from Bautzen to Hof. The middle section of the route crosses the foothills of the Erzgebirge mountains for 92.2 kilometers from Freiberg via Chemnitz to Zwickau. You will be surprised how many beautiful spots the foothills of the Ore Mountains have to offer. Information on the pilgrims' oases and hostels at: www.saechsischer-jakobsweg.de
