Kalek – CinovecOver the Ore Mountain ridge into the Eastern Ore Mountains
Kalek
Cinovec, Parkplatz am Golfplatz
This stage climbs and descends constantly and takes us to Mikulovice (Niklasdorf) and Nova Ves (Gebirgsneudorf) via Rudollice and Maly Hai. The church in Maly Hai can be seen from a distance at 900 m above sea level. Further on, directly next to the Schweinitz river on the border, we arrive at Mnisek (Einsiedel).
Remaining on route 23, the Flaje dam is soon in view. The cycling route diverges here into 23a and 23, but we stay on 23 and ride around the southern part of the dam, which staunches the Flöha and supplies drinking water to the Most district. Travelling uphill once more, we arrive at the hill moor region of Grünwaldské vřesovištĕ, and on to Nove Město (Neustadt). Returning to the mountain ridge after the Georgenfeld hill moors, we finish the stage at Cinovec (Bohemian Zinnwald) on the border.
