Let's take a detour to Wurzen's old town, which is well worth seeing. We follow the road into the town coming from Grimma and drive through the railroad underpass. Then turn right and immediately left again. The museum with its Ringelnatz collection and the town church of St. Wenceslai are well worth a visit. We cross the city center and keep diagonally left on the cycle path that runs along the right side of the city park, which takes us back to the route. Now it's 7 kilometers straight ahead on the cycle path alongside the road to Thallwitz. Right at the entrance to the town, we turn right and then left at the next two junctions. We now cross the main road again and notice Thallwitz Castle on the left with its extensive park. We follow the road to Kollau. From here, we follow the main road, which is concreted from the end of the village. The path leads through an extensive nature reserve. With a bit of luck, we may spot storks here in the summer months. We then head towards the B 87 main road and finally pass underneath it or a train underpass and arrive in Eilenburg.
