This tour starts at the Stollmühle mill in Stützengrün. The path goes briefly through the village, after a short while the path crosses meadows and forests, uphill and downhill. Educational boards along the way provide interesting facts about nature. There are lots of interesting things to discover, including a barefoot path and the bridge pillars of the Stützengrün viaduct of the former Wilkau-Haßlau-Carlsfeld narrow-gauge railroad. It was the first, steepest and longest narrow-gauge railroad in Saxony. The mountain meadows offer incentives for hiking in the scenic Weißbach valley of Stützengrün.
Panoramic hiking trail across mountain meadows in the Ore Mountains with interactive boards for young and old.
There is also something for railroad enthusiasts with the supporting pillars of the former Stützengrün viaduct. If you are looking for some nature outside of Stützengrün, you are on the right track here.
Children and adults can admire the beauty of nature here and learn interesting facts about wild bees, butterflies, meadow herbs, tree species and their fruits, animals at the edge of the forest and Scottish Highland cattle.
