Parking lot "Kätplatz"
From Kätplatz, cross the B95 and follow the Pöhlberg ascent (Ernst-Roch-Straße). Passing the raft ditch, you will reach the striking basalt columns below the summit. Keep to the right and walk around the Pöhlberg along the circular path, which runs parallel to the long-distance hiking trail E3 here. You pass the area nature monument Pöhlbergalm and overlook the Ore Mountain ridge from the Bärenstein over Fichtelberg and Keilberg to the Auersberg in the far west. Later, the trail passes Annaberg's oldest mining district. The St. Briccius Stolln with its hat house is worth a detour. Following the circular route again, you pass the Töpferstolln and the butter churns and return to Ernst-Roch-Straße and walk downhill to the starting point at Kätplatz.
