The hike leads through orchards amidst the beautiful landscape of the Saxon Castle Country and ends at the river "Freiberger Mulde", where Mildenstein Castle rises above the town of Leisnig.

From the historic town center of Mügeln, the path leads south toward Sornzig. Here lies the former convent complex of the Marienthal nunnery, where overnight accommodations are also offered. Via small village roads, the route goes through orchards and small villages. Just before Fischendorf, hikers are rewarded on a small hill with a magnificent view of Mildenstein Castle, which lies above the town of Leisnig on the river "Freiberger Mulde". There are numerous exhibitions to visit in the castle. Also, the world's largest gaiter boot in the neighboring boot museum. Martin Luther wrote letters here to the council and the Leisnig church community, containing fundamental explanations for the reformatory reorganization of community life. In Leisnig, the oldest evangelical social paper was created: The Leisnig chest regulation.
