Visitors' mine "Pferdegöpel", Lautaer Hauptstraße 12, 09496 Marienberg / OT Lauta
The route takes you from the Pferdegöpel visitor mine towards the waterworks with a view of the "Bauer Morgengang" slag heap. Past the dumps of the former "Vater Abraham" and "Drei Weiber" shafts, you hike to Marienberg. Enter the historic town centre in Renaissance style through the Zschopauer Tor (Zschopau Gate) and walk to the square market square with the monument to the town's founder, Duke Heinrich. Now follow the signs to the "Museum Saxon-Bohemian Ore Mountains" in the mining magazine, then walk past the Kaiserteich pond through the former peat cutting area Mooshaide to the Drei Brüder Höhe. From the lookout tower you can enjoy the charming low mountain range landscape and return to the starting point.
