Heidebogenrundweg - Off through the Heide!

The tour starts in Königsbrück between the main church and the castle, leads west over the Schlossberg onto Großenhainer Straße and turns left after 400 meters along the castle park. Continue right onto Dresdner Straße/B97 to the next village, Laußnitz. Here it follows the forest road to the left at the 2nd junction, runs along the sports field along the railroad route via Flügel-Spießweg and turns right at junction 13. After crossing Dresdner Straße, turn directly left, ride through Flügel 3 to the next road, keep right there and cross the village of Würschnitz on Ottendorfer Straße. After the ponds, turn right onto the road "Zum Springbach" and continue through Kleinnaundorf.

At "Am Storchennest", the route turns left onto a country lane, which you then continue straight on. Keep left at "Zum Kohlbusch" and continue through Dobra to Zschorna. Pass the mill pond on the left, then along the moated castle and immediately right onto "Am Stausee". The path continues to the left, on a bridge over the A13 to Niederrödern, where you follow the signs left to the church. Turn left again across Kirchgasse, then right onto Ebersbacher Weg/Zweitannenweg. In Ebersbach, turn left onto the main road and before leaving the village, turn right onto Naunhofer Straße.

In Naunhof, turn right at the first junction onto Schulstraße, drive straight on through Lauterbach and Beiersdorf and turn right before the Nauleis dam. In Reinersdorf, turn left onto Göhraer Straße shortly before leaving the village and in Göhra turn right onto the local road to Kalkreuth. Turn right here briefly onto Großenhainer Straße, then left twice and right once onto "An der Röder" to Cunnersdorf. Turn left onto "Lange Straße" to Schönfeld, cycle through the village and turn right at the castle onto Königsbrücker Straße. After crossing the highway again, turn left towards Thiendorf.

There, follow the road "Zum Großteich" and then Welxander Straße straight ahead. In Welxande, turn left onto Liegaer Straße, past the Kaltenbachteich pond and then right onto the main road to Liega. Continue straight on through the village to Linz, after Linz turn right onto a forest path and follow this straight on to Kraußnitz.

Cross Kraußnitz straight ahead and cycle to Ortrand. Follow the cycle path signs there and cycle into the town via Ortrander Straße. Before the traffic circle, turn right onto Schützenhausstraße, then left onto Königsbrücker Straße and continue straight ahead. Then turn right onto Kamenzer Straße, cross the railroad tracks and follow the road. At the next major junction, turn left onto Heinersdorfer Straße to leave the town.

In Kroppen, turn left onto Heinersdorfer Straße/Dorfstraße as far as the main road and after 200 meters, turn right onto a forest path. The route leads straight on through the forest to Zeisholz, where you follow the road "Neitschmühle" past the pond landscape. Continue on "Am Mühlenteich", turn left onto Dorfstraße and "An der Schule" to leave the village. After approx. 500 meters turn right onto a dirt road and after 400 m turn right again onto Kaschligweg.

Follow this and then Neitschmühlenweg through the forest to the next road, turn left there and continue along Ruhlander Straße to Cosel. Cycle through the village on Ruhlander Straße, keep right at the end of the village and continue along Königsbrücker Straße through the forest to Grüngräbchen. Here, turn left once and right once onto the "Grüner Weg" and leave the village again via Königsbrücker Straße in the direction of Schwepnitz.

In Schweppnitz, turn left after the cemetery into Pfarrgasse, cross Hoyerswerdaer Straße, continue along "Am Ring", turn left into Busch and then immediately right again into "Am Gattertor" and follow this road or the "Grünen Tal"/Bachweg to Gottschdorf.

In the village, turn right onto Neukircher Straße and cycle straight ahead along Friedensstraße, turn left at the brick barn and continue along a forest path. After the first houses in Neukirch, turn left onto Schwepnitzer Straße, cross the stream and then turn right onto the path "Zur Ziegelscheune". Follow this to Rohrbach, then turn left onto Waldstraße/"Zum Zipfelteich" and follow the road to the S100/Königsbrücker Straße junction. Turn right onto the S100 and then immediately left again onto the road "Am Bürgerhaus" and follow this road to Petershain and on to Schwosdorf. Drive through the village on the right via Schwosdorfer Feldweg, continue straight ahead onto the country road and after approx. 700 m turn left into Marktweg. Continue along forest and field paths until you reach the S95/Pulsnitzer Straße. Turn left onto this road and then immediately right onto Bischheimer Weg to Hennersdorf.

In Hennersdorf, cycle along Dorfstraße and Waldstraße towards the S105, turn left there and continue along Elstraer Straße to Haselbachtal. In the village, turn right after the church onto Niedergersdorfer Straße and then continue straight on to Gehrsdorf. Turn left onto Bahnhofsstraße, then immediately right onto Gersdorfer Weg to Bischheim and continue along Feldstraße and Reichenbacher Straße (S105) to Häslich and Reichenbach.

In Reichenbach, turn left onto Pulsnitztalstraße/S104, after 250 m turn right onto the side road, then take the second left onto Großnaundorfer Straße and leave the town past the sports field. Follow the signs to Gräfenhain via field and forest paths. The tour continues along the main road there to Kamenzer Straße/S100. There, turn left towards Königsbrück and cycle via Querstraße, Curt-Tausch-Straße, Louisenstraße, Alte Poststraße, Marktstraße and Dresdner Straße back to the starting point at the castle.
