From the valley station of the Fichtelberg cable car, the trail first leads you in the direction of the ski jumps and via the former hotel building "Berg Kristall" on the Philosophers' Trail to the "Rotes Vorwerk". Continue on shady forest paths via the Ausrücke to the Schwarzer Teich - a rafter's pond. Via the Zschopauweg and the Pförtelstraße you reach the Gifthüttenstraße, where you find the hut "Am Steinel", from where you experience a magnificent view towards Bärenstein. Leave the Gifthüttenstraße at a junction to the left into the Seltmannweg, which leads you back to the "Rotes Vorwerk". Parallel to the Vierenstraße, your path leads back to Oberwiesenthal to the starting point.
