Family hike to the wooden figure trail

You start at Altenberg station through the Kurpark, along Rehefelder Straße. After approx. 700 m, turn left onto Flemmingweg. This leads you into the Kahleberg area until you reach a crossroads* at a bridge. Now walk straight on towards the stream. At the end of this path, turn left onto the wooden figure path. Follow this to turn left at the end of the path towards the "Altes Raupennest" forest tavern. Shortly before this, turn left again and after another 300 m turn right onto the Alter Zaunhäuser Weg. This leads you downhill to the Altenberg adventure mountain. Continue to the right. Cross the Raupennesthang (ski slope) and follow the path to the end. Now turn left down the mountain and past the fire station. Cross the B170 and follow the road uphill, then keep left on Rathausstraße. Walk through the town center back to the starting point.

*This path is less suitable for baby carriages as it leads over "sticks, stones and roots". For the variant suitable for baby carriages, continue over the bridge along Alter Zaunhäuser Weg to the next crossroads and then turn left twice in succession.
