Discover various chainsaw carvings on a leisurely circular route.
Start at Altenberg train station through the spa park, along Rehefelder Straße. After about 600 m, turn left onto Flemmingweg. This leads you into the Kahleberg area to a junction* at a bridge. Now continue straight on, following the stream. At the end of this path, turn left onto the Wooden Figure Path. Follow this via Sonnenhofweg towards the Forest Tavern "Old Raupennest". Shortly before this, turn left and after another 300 m turn right onto Old Zaunhäuser Way. This leads downhill to the Adventure Mountain Altenberg. Continue to the right. You cross the Raupennest slope (ski slope) and follow the path to the end. Then down the hill to the left and past the fire station. Cross the B170 and stay left on Town Hall Street. This way you walk through the town center back to the starting point.
*This path is less suitable for strollers as it leads over "sticks, stones, and roots." For the stroller-friendly variant, continue over the bridge on Old Zaunhäuser Way to the next junction and turn left twice in a row.
