The Euregio Egrensis cycle route connects the Czech Republic with the federal states of Saxony, Thuringia, and Bavaria.

The start is towards Saalburg, where a visit to the fairy tale forest and a ride on the summer toboggan run are especially an experience for families with children. At the Bleilochtalsperre dam, you can "cruise" on one of the passenger ships on Germany's largest dam. A detour to Burgk Castle, one of the oldest and largest castle complexes in Thuringia, is definitely worthwhile. In Zeulenroda, a stop is recommended at the Waikiki bathing world or the dam before continuing to the park and castle town of Greiz in the valley of the White Elster. A few meters further, you cross the Saxon-Thuringian state border, and the world's largest brick bridge, the Göltzsch Valley Bridge, marks the start of the tour through the Saxon Vogtland (95 km). The path then leads to Netzschkau with its late Gothic castle. A few kilometers further, you are welcomed by Mylau with its imposing imperial castle. The cycle tour now leads through Rotschau, Mühlwand, and Limbach. In Mühlwand, there is an alum shale mine in the middle of greenery. After Herlasgrün, the Pöhl Dam offers numerous sports activities. Those needing refreshment can plunge into the waters of the 3.87 square kilometers large dam. After Möschwitz and Voigtsgrün, you reach the lace city Plauen, whose landmarks are the town hall with Renaissance gable and the St. John's Church. You pass Oberlosa, Drosdorf, Lottengrün, Tirpersdorf, and Korna before reaching Schöneck, the highest town in Vogtland. The lookout rock "Alter Söll" offers a fantastic view over 2000 square kilometers of upper Vogtland, the Elster valley, and the Thuringian Forest. The cycle tour continues to the raft village Muldenberg and to the topaz rock Schneckenstein. A visit to the visitor mine Grube Tannenberg should definitely be planned. The charming and varied mountain landscape of our next station, the municipality of Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz, shows its blooming mountain meadows as well as the oldest spruce stock in Vogtland. You can also get closer to space research here with a visit to the German Space Exhibition. To conclude, it is recommended to end the day in the bathing gardens of the mountain and embroidery town Eibenstock.
