The 460-kilometer Ecumenical Pilgrimage Trail winds through central Germany, combining nature, spirituality, and encounters.
The Ecumenical Pilgrimage Route stretches approximately 460 kilometers from Görlitz to Vacha along the historic Via Regia through central Germany. For over 20 years, pilgrims have been discovering the unique combination of physical activity, nature, and inner reflection along this route.
The route is marked throughout with a yellow scallop shell on a blue background and can be tailored to individual preferences—whether for a single day, several stages, or a pilgrimage lasting several weeks. Diverse landscapes, cultural sights, and, above all, the hospitality of the local people define the experience.
About 100 hostels offer simple lodging and a space for encounters. The pilgrimage route is open to everyone—regardless of religious affiliation. It invites you to find peace, gain new perspectives, and return to everyday life feeling renewed.

The route is not divided into stages. Everyone can proceed at their own pace.
