On the competition route marked with about 6 km, performance comparisons by the Sohland ski club take place regularly. Here, the tracks for skaters are designed most reliably – the location makes it possible, and the competitions predominantly take place in free style. Beautiful descents and strenuous climbs offer the full range of cross-country skiing opportunities in Sohland.

This loop, like all individual loops I – VI, is part of the main trail.

The very active Sohland ski club regularly organizes performance comparisons in winter sports. On the competition loop, it is therefore possible on certain days to observe the speed and commitment with which athletes compete for top places in the rankings. But even ordinary recreational athletes find optimal conditions here to enjoy winter on the narrow skis using classic or free style.

The shelter "Neudorfhütte" (6) is located on the route, the "Dreiherrensteinhütte" (7) somewhat off to the side. At this point, three jurisdictions met; a memorial stone reminds of this.
