Challenging hike from the romantic Rabenauer Grund through an adventurous gorge over the Somsdorf Heights to the edge of the forestry town Tharandt and back through the valley of the Wild Weißeritz to Freital.

The route begins in the wildly romantic Rabenauer Grund, which is left after a short stretch via a steep gorge towards Somsdorf. Iron stairs and chains turn this section into a real adventure. In Somsdorf, a beautiful view over Freital awaits you. Over the heights, it goes to the slopes of the valley of the Wild Weißeritz. At the sun temple, the descent to the forestry town Tharandt begins. There, a detour into the town or to the Forestry Botanical Garden is worthwhile. Those who want can break off here and return by bus or train. Those still fit can take the Leitenweg in the valley to Hainsberg. Alternatively, the Brüderweg on the slope of the other side of the valley can be taken. However, this leads to a steep climb. For that, you are rewarded with spectacular views.
