Children's route around the Galgenteiche

Starting at the hiking parking lot at the campsite. In the area of the Kleiner Galgenteich campsite, keep to the right and follow the Viehtrift path. On the right are the orchid meadows; you can also see the old biathlon shooting range of the World Championship in 1967. We cross the road to Schellerhau and then turn left at the junction with clearing 31. We cross the road to Schellerhau again; shortly after, we reach the foot of the third dam stage from which the Rote Weißeritz springs. We follow the only real ascent of the route up to the Neugraben and turn left there. At the second bridge, we then turn right and follow the shore of the Großer Galgenteich, past the Raupennest health centre to the football field. There, sharply left onto the dam crest of the Großer Galgenteich. At the rear overflow, it then goes sharply right down a small descent; we follow the path at the foot of the dam until we reach the campsite and our starting point again.
