Fans of alpine hiking will get their money's worth on this tour. From the parking lot at the town hall, take Lindenstraße uphill onto Flöhatalstraße and turn left, then right onto Mühlenweg, past the Ölmühle Technical Museum. After approx. 200 m, turn left onto the wooden bridge over the Pockau, cross Talstraße and the railroad line. We follow the white-green-white markings to the Talkanzel (Hohe Steine). The first ascent to the top of the mountain is rewarded with a fantastic view of Pockau. The easy forest path continues to the start of the alpine hiking trail. Caution! The path is not recommended in snow, ice and rain! We climb the "Talkanzel" viewing rock at 560 m above sea level. Take a break and enjoy the fantastic view of the romantic valley of the Schwarze Pockau!
We continue on green and reach the valley road, where we walk a short distance to the left until the green marked hiking trail leads us to the left into the idyllic Knesenbach valley. We reach the town of Zöblitz (serpentine stone town with Silbermann organ). Here, in the valley of the Knesenbach stream, the return hike to Pockau begins. We turn left along the yellow-marked "Schwarzer Weg" and return to Pockau via Vorwerk Zöblitz and along the "Allee der Jahresbäume" (avenue of annual trees) newly created by Sachsenforst.
On this panoramic trail, distant views over the ridges of the Erzgebirge and the town of Zöblitz invite you to linger.
