The starting point of the hike is the "Roßplatz" parking lot and the nearby Erzgebirgische Heimatmuseum in Sayda. There you will find further information about the "Saydaer Maler-Weg" , which is a "themed hiking trail" with its 2.6 km inner-city route and is also accessible in winter. The hiking tour leads past some easels of the painter's path to the Dorfchemnitzer Weg, which you follow over the Saydaer Höhe to the "Alte Mühle" to Voigtsdorf and from there on an ascending path towards Wolfsgrund. Via the "Drei Häuser" we find the technical museum "Eisenhammer" Dorfchemnitz. From Buchleite, we pass the natural monument "Marderlinde" and reach the area of "Blockhausen", where the "Sauensäger" Martin became world-famous. There are numerous wooden sculptures, adventure huts and the longest table in the world. We return via the Mordsteinweg, the Geleitstraße, the Kammweg in Dorfchemnitz and along the former railroad embankment of the small railroad through Friedebach to the town of Sayda.
