Market Sayda
Starting point of the hike is the parking lot "Roßplatz" and the nearby Ore Mountain Local History Museum in Sayda. There you will find more information about the "Sayda Painter's Path" which, with its inner-city route of 2.6 km length, is a "theme-based hiking trail" and also accessible in winter. The hiking route passes several easels of the Painter's Path leading to the Dorfchemnitzer Weg, which you take over Saydaer Höhe to the "Old Mill" in Voigtsdorf and from there on an ascending path towards Wolfsgrund. Via the "Three Houses" you reach the technical museum "Eisenhammer" Dorfchemnitz. From Buchleite, passing by the natural monument "Marderlinde", you arrive in the area of "Blockhausen" which became world-famous for the "Sauensäger" Martin. Numerous wood sculptures, adventure huts, and the longest table in the world can be seen. The return route takes you via Mordsteinweg, Geleitstraße, Kammweg in Dorfchemnitz as well as along the former railway embankment of the narrow-gauge railway through Friedebach back to the urban area of Sayda.
