3 mountains in one day - one of the most popular bike routes in our Altenberg holiday region.
This route takes you on varied paths through the impressive landscape of the Eastern Ore Mountains. You will experience our three local mountains up close – away from the hustle and bustle, reachable only on foot or by bike. Look forward to spectacular summit views, pristine nature, and unforgettable moments amidst the mountain world. At each summit, you will find a cozy place to rest and enjoy.

From Altenberg, it goes over the Dippoldiswalder and Neustadt streets towards Geisingberg. Passing the Altenberger Pinge and the mountain meadows, you reach the 824 m high summit. Next to the mountain hut, you will find the Louisenturm, which offers you a view over the Altenberg holiday region. Then you ride steeply downhill towards Geising. Passing the historic streets and the natural swimming pool Hüttenteich, you go up to the Kohlhaukuppe (786 m) - known as Garlic Hill due to the delicacies in the mountain hut. Along the German-Czech border (summer path) you ride towards Zinnwald-Georgenfeld and pass through the mining village towards the "Lugsteine". From there, belt 30 leads you to the Kahleberg - at 905 m above sea level the highest elevation of the Eastern Ore Mountains. Here you can also stop at the hut. After a short rest, continue via the I-wing and the Alten Zaunhäuser Weg back to Altenberg.

There is the possibility to stop at all three summits. You can also enjoy a wide view over the Ore Mountains, the Bohemian Basin, and as far as the Dresden Elbe Valley.

You can park your car at the P2 – Ski lift and adventure mountain parking lot.
