3-Mountain Route

From Altenberg, follow Dippoldiswalder and Neustadtstraße towards Geisingberg. Passing the Altenberger Pinge and the mountain meadows, you reach the summit at 824 m. Next to the mountain hut, you will find the Louisenturm, which offers you a view over the Altenberg holiday region. The path then steeply descends towards Geising. Passing the historic streets and the natural swimming pool Hüttenteich, you hike up to the Kohlhaukuppe (786 m) – known as the Garlic Peak due to the delicacies in the mountain hut. Along the German-Czech border (summer path), you walk towards Zinnwald-Georgenfeld and cross the mining village in the direction of the "Lugsteine." From there, the clearing 30 leads you to the Kahleberg – at 905 m above sea level, the highest peak of the Eastern Ore Mountains. Here, too, you can stop at the hut. After a short rest, continue via the I-Flügel and the Alten Zaunhäuser Weg back to Altenberg.
