Memorial and exhibition for victims of the Nazi euthanasia crime

In 1940/41, around 15,000 mentally ill people, people with mental disabilities and, in the summer of 1941, Jewish, Polish and German prisoners from concentration camps were murdered at Sonnenstein. The Sonnenstein camp was also used for personnel, organisational and technical preparations for the Holocaust. You can visit the memorial area at the authentic site as well as a permanent exhibition (temporary temporary exhibitions). Guided tours and seminars are organised on request. You should allow approx. 2 hours for a tour.
