Makerfestival in the Ore Mountains

At a glance

Eight locations in the Capital of Culture region have been designated as so-called Makerhubs, a place where makers - people with different skills and interests - come together in an open workshop to live out their creativity and implement innovative projects, e.g. with 3D printing, laser cutting and much more. As one of the central projects within the framework of the Capital of Culture, creative centers with different focuses and the common goal of bringing tradition and innovation together on an international level are developing there.

A whole day to join in. At the Makerfestival Erzgebirge on August 23, 2025 from 11 a.m., makers will come together and impart their knowledge in a very practical way. At various hands-on stations, guests from young to old will design and experiment, breathe new life into old materials, build useful and decorative items for everyday life and immerse themselves in digital worlds. Ore Mountain tradition and creative ideas for the future at your fingertips.

Friemeln. Printing. Sawing. Hutzen. Lasering. Amazement - an exciting day for young and old is guaranteed. Admission is free of charge.
