Three premieres and three revivals are on the program this summer on Europe's most beautiful rock stage: "Drachen haben nichts zu lachen", directed by Marianne Kjaer Klausen, opens on 19 June. The second revival is the musical "Monty Python's Spamalot (The Knights of the Coconut)" and on August 10, Leander de Marel returns to the Felsenbühne as the robber Hotzenplotz in the children's play "No Fear of Hotzenplotz".
The first premiere on the natural stage will be Otfried Preußler's "The Little Witch" on July 6. The cult production of a sparkling, magical night-time spectacle will find its long-awaited sequel with the premiere of "Elfenfeuer II" on July 19. "Die Olsenbande fährt ins Erzgebirge", a comedy and the (presumably) very latest prank by Egon, Benny and Kjeld, closes the season with its premiere on August 3.
"Greifenstein Blasmusik Open Air" is another highlight of the season. On June 21, brass bands, orchestras and dance groups from the Erzgebirge district perform on the natural stage. The town of Ehrenfriedersdorf is also organizing the "Bergklang & Vinylzauber DJ Night" on 23 August.
Tickets for the almost 1,200 seats can be purchased at the service office, Markt 9 in 09456 Annaberg-Buchholz, in the online store and at the regular box office (one hour before the start of the performance). There is another advance booking office at the tourist information office on the Greifensteinen (Greifensteinstraße 44, 09427 Ehrenfriedersdorf).
