Autumn hiking week from 13. to 21.09.2025 - Tour offers in Kurort Oberwiesenthal.
The spa town of Oberwiesenthal invites you to an autumn hiking week: Every day, guests and locals can enjoy a fascinating route through the Ore Mountains. Whether
challenging or leisurely - there is something for every hiking enthusiast. The first guided hike to kick off the week on September 13 leads to the Schwarzfelsen and crosses borders. Sure-footedness and sturdy footwear are required to master some steep passages and stony paths. The other tours of the Autumn Hiking Week are very different: from moderate hikes of around 10 km to more challenging tours of 19 km. The Fichtelberg-Keilberg region is explored with expert hiking guides, including many cross-border hikes. One tour, on September 16, will be led by honorary citizen and Olympic champion Jens Weißflog, who not only knows a thing or two about ski jumping, but also enjoys hiking on the trails around the Fichtelberg. Of course, he also has one or two stories from his ski jumping career in his luggage. Other hiking tours lead along beautiful nature trails, far away from stress and hectic, through colorful forests and to lesser-known peaks in the upper Erzgebirge. At the end of the hiking week on September 20, you can explore the Lost Place Burg Hassenstein. In addition to exploring the most beautiful spots in the spa town of Oberwiesenthal and the surrounding area, participants can listen to many exciting stories and tales told by the hiking guides.
