Autumn hiking week

During this year’s Autumn Hiking Week, a hike is offered every day. The first guided hike at the beginning of September 17th leads to the idyllic forest devotion in Gottes Gab. The tour is accompanied by hiking guide Jana Kowarik and by reverent words of Father Kenny Mehnert. All proceeds from this event will be donated to a non-profit association/purpose. The other tours of the Autumn Hiking Week are very different: from moderate walks over about 10 km to more demanding tours with almost 18 km of route length. With the expert hiking guides, Jana Kowarik and Heike Lautner, the Fichtelberg-Keilberg area is explored, including many cross-border hikes. A tour, on the 24th September, is also carried out by the honorary citizen and Olympic champion Jens Weißflog, because he is not only very familiar with ski jumping, but also likes to travel on the hiking trails around the Fichtelberg. Of course, he also has one or two stories from his ski jumping career with him. Further hiking tours lead along beautiful nature trails, far away from stress and hectic, through colourful forests and to unknown peaks of the upper Ore Mountains, such as the Wirbel- or Kreuzstein. At the end of the hiking week on 25 September, hiking guide Heike Lautner takes you to the Bohemian New Cry and to Weipert, once the most important industrial site of the Ore Mountains. In addition to exploring the most beautiful spots in the spa town of Oberwiesenthal and its surroundings, participants can listen to many exciting stories and stories of the hiking guides.
