It is one of the most important sights in Saxony: Königstein Fortress. It is enthroned in a spectacular location on a table mountain 247 metres above the Elbe. On the almost ten-hectare site, visitors can discover a unique ensemble of more than 50 architectural monuments from different eras.
From 9 March to 28 April 2024, thousands of spring flowers will blossom at the 1st Königstein Spring Magic. The team of gardeners at the mountain fortress planted the bulbs in autumn. Visitors can look forward to a colourful and fragrant work of art consisting of tulips, hyacinths, crocuses, daisies and forget-me-nots. There are also oversized figures of butterflies, giant tulips and planted containers, which offer splendid photo opportunities. The programme of events includes a spring market, photography workshops and choir performances.
