This circular route leads into the Zechengrund, along the Pöhlbach and past old mining facilities. It goes comfortably back to the cable railway via the Alte Poststraße.
This peaceful route leads through the allotment garden directly into the Zechengrund. Along the lively babbling Pöhlbach, past old mining facilities, you reach the Alte Poststraße. From there it's a comfortable walk back to the cable railway.

Valley station Fichtelberg cable railway
The starting point of this route is the valley station of the cable railway. Heading towards Büttnerweg, walk right over the ski meadow to the bend of Karlsbader Straße. Here you enjoy a magnificent view of the town. Then continue to the left, past the carnival fountain
to the Alte Poststraße and the allotment garden in the Zechengrund. In this gem along the Czech border, you will discover rare plants as well as old shafts and traces of mining. On Anton-Günther-Weg and Alte Poststraße, you hike towards the ski jumping hills across the ski meadow back to the starting point.
