This beautiful circular hike leads through a little-known area of Saxon Switzerland from Sebnitz through the picturesque Sebnitz Forest to Vilémov and from there to the Tanečnice, the highest mountain in the region. Along the way, you can discover interesting places such as the Hubertus Chapel and the Wolf's Stone as well as the legendary Maria Well, whose water is said to have healing powers. You then return via the Kaiserberg back to the town of Sebnitz, which is always worth a visit.

The hike mainly runs along wide forest paths through the Sebnitz forest as well as field paths and forest tracks up and over the Tanečnice. Apart from the start from Sebnitz, the climbs are fairly moderate and even the ascent to the Tanečnice is long but not steep. Otherwise, the tour offers many opportunities to linger and take a break as well as a refreshment stop on the Tanečnice, where you can eat and drink quite cheaply and very well. A visit to the viewing tower costs less than 1 euro and in good weather you can see the entire Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Before that, there are various interesting destinations along the route to marvel at and admire - not least the Maria Church in Vilémov and the Maria Fountain.
