You start at the free hiking car park in Saupsdorf and hike quite steeply uphill along the narrow streets before you can enjoy a fabulous panoramic view of the rocky landscape of Saxon Switzerland halfway up the mountain. Once you reach the Wachberg, a detour to the adventure playground is well worthwhile, especially with children.Then follow the Meiche trail through dense forest to the foot of the Weifberg in Hinterhermsdorf. A detour to the wooden observation tower with its breathtaking 360-degree panorama is an absolute must. From now on, the route descends along the ‘Alte Nixdorfer Straße’ from Bohemia, with a beautiful view over the winding village. Once you arrive at the car park in the centre of the village, bus route 268 will take you back to your starting point.
