The Zwickau Christmas market with its unparalleled pre-Christmas atmosphere ranks among the most beautiful in Germany. In keeping with the cultivations of miners' traditions, the traditional miner's parade with traditional costumes and bands takes place on Saturday before the 3rd Advent in Zwickau. The dazzling finale is the great miner's concert in the yard of the cathedral. The Christmas pyramid and the 20 m high Christmas tree with its 500 lights illuminate an exclusive range of Christmas products with folk art from the Vogtland and the Ore Mountains, Christmas tree and Advent decorations, candles, toys and wickerwork, sweets and Christmas cookies.
