Makers United 2025

At a glance

The European festival for creativity, technology and innovation.

"makers united" is a hands-on festival for craftspeople, technology enthusiasts, creatives and anyone who wants to become one. From June 19 to June 22 in 2025, Chemnitz city center in and around the Stadthalle is transformed into a meeting place for all makers.

"makers united" grew out of the "Maker Faire", which has been held in Chemnitz Stadthalle since 2017. With the Maker e. V., the name makers united was born and the special student program was added. Visitors to makers united can look forward to hands-on activities in the fields of technology, crafts, art and science (STEM). All exhibitors will be offering something that can really be grasped, be it 3D printing, sewing, programming, tinkering or simply actively involving visitors.

The makers united school program is also a special feature. Here, registered school classes can try their hand at the makers' stands and experience the technologies of yesterday, today and tomorrow at first hand. This focus on schoolchildren and the hands-on program makes makers united stand out from the crowd of normal trade fairs.
Another highlight is the children's university at the opening of makers united, which is always presented by a well-known children's presenter. In 2022, for example, it was presented by Shary Reeves from the German TV show „Wissen macht Ah!“ and in 2023 by Eric Mayer from the knowledge magazine PUR+.
