The event kicks off on Friday at 4.00 pm with the "pushing of the pyramid" by the daycare children, the mayor and the horn trio "Family Brass" on the bathing area. As part of the Advent festival, various attractions will then invite guests to enjoy Advent delights over the weekend and various music ensembles will provide the musical framework for the festival. This year, in addition to the colourful entertainment programme on the bathing area, there will once again be a fairytale tour of the Royal Gardens by the Schönecker Heimatverein on Saturday at 4.00 pm, before Santa's carriage arrives in Bad Elster. On Saturday evening, the popular "Aprés-Party" around the pyramid will provide Christmas fun on the bathing area.
In addition, a model railway layout of the historic Bad Elster - Bad Brambach line of the Plauen 1948 e.V. model railway club will be presented exclusively in the KunstWandelhalle at the weekend and songs and stories from fairyland will be performed on Sunday afternoon.
Afterwards, a lantern procession will begin on Sunday to the bathing area with self-made lanterns, at the end of which Santa's carriage will be waiting. When night falls, the Royal Gardens of Bad Elster are once again transformed into a sparkling world of lights made up of gleaming historical buildings and park areas. Guests can then also discover the beauty of Bad Elster in atmospheric locations via illuminated promenade paths - an Advent stroll in a sparkling play of lights!
